Hydrangea thanks

Here is a card I made using some colours that kinda called to me and I went with it....Plun Pudding and Harvest gold ?? I kinda like it !
My favourite part though is the hydrangea. It was coloured using my pebbles clay chalks as well as my copics. It was SUPER fun to colour and layer the chalks, and highlight with a bit of blue copic Cut out with a labels 4 nestie and tea dye on the edges. Used some autumn abundance paper, and some PP satin ribbon.
This card was for the fantastic Melissa J, who not only let me ship a rather large package to her house and shipped it to me in Canada, but also sent me a beautiful card when Elena was born. Thanks Melissa! PTI freinds are the greatest!!

Some Valentine Cuties

Decided to pull put my much neglected SU Valentines sets to make a few cards - In fact these are some of my Favourite SU sets of all time and am going to try to use them for more of a year round application.
First card also uses some retired SU paper and brads, and some ribbon I found at Michaels. Used Fine Linen and I am NEVER going to stamp and copic colour on this paper again!! The copics blended easily.....too easily...thankfully after much use of the colour less blender I kept everything pretty much within the lines !
Used the negative left over from the Victorian lace border die on the bottom.

Cant decide if I like the bow or not. ON, it seems like too much. OFF, it seems like something is missing....let me know!

For my next card, I ACTUALLY used a pre-stamped image I had in my stash !! I know alarming ! Coloured this with SU markers ... this technique is probably THE ONLY reason I'm still holding on to some of my rubber stamps, I like to be able to colour part of an image.
Paper pierced and traced the ground.
Stamps, ribbons and papers are SU.

AND, I'm actually lining my envies now.....and embellishing the inside !! Thanks Stephanie Mino for continually inspiring me to complete the "package" !!!

AWWW..thanks Kristin!

So the sweet Kristin (jcmom04) gave me this sweet blog award and totally made my day !!

First I'm to link back to her fabby blog with such a cute title

Now I have to list 8 things about myself

1. I've been blessed with 2 lovely children (and a fantastic husband)

2. I've always crafted. Used to make and sell beaded jewelry in high school, made many of the components for my wedding.

3. I've been stamping for about 2 years now. My girlfreind Suzanne got me into it, and now we inspire/mutually enable each other!

4. I automatically make a card for my mom when we go to joint functions. Cause I know she'll call me the morning of the shower/wedding/birthday party and ask if I have time to make her a card

5. HHMM...I guess I'm not that interesting !!
6. I'm addicted to all things PTI, including the forum
7. I have approx 40 cards in various stages of completion. And many pages of stamped backgrounds! I guess I'm saving them for a rainy day??!!
8. The highlight of my crafting career was meeting Nichole et all at CHA - including some forum freinds. And I think I was kinda flirting with Julie's son, but poor guy was run ragged restocking back and forth so we just wanted to brighten his day!!
OK, so here's the part where I shout out to three other bloggers.
Stephanie Mino is definitely one she is a crafting MACHINE! Her cards are a beaut and she reminds me to finish the inside of my cards!!
Michelle - Derbylea- is another love her CAS and her colouring! Plus I love the clever way she combines her stamp sets
Denise (look at her blog title really quick and tell me what you thought it said) LOVE her cards they always seem to have the perfect finishing touch.
Plus MelissaJ, and all my Post-It sisters.
Thanks so much for the award Kristen....you made my day!!

Nautical guidelines

So a while back there was talk of stamps that fit in the guidelines grid, and this card has been in my mind ever since !!
I used stamps from Out to sea, stamped on rustic cream paper with some versamagic dew drops.
I stamped the sentiment on twill for a continuation of this masculne look....like it ! This next card used the same stamps. Cut out some canvas with my limitless layers die, and layered it on to a mat stack 3. Tied some twill around it, and adhered a pre cut scalloped canvas border from SU on to the bottom. I figured I could cusotmize it with whatever sentiment I needed later.

Thanks for looking !!
